The University of Southern Mississippi Vietnamese Student Association hosted their annual “Tết Celebration” event on Saturday, February 4th. Doors opened on Saturday evening at 5PM. As the night progressed, USMVSA’s executive board had many things planned.
First, the event was “BYOB,” meaning “Bring your own bowl” for Pho! During family-style dinner, USMVSA’s co-social chair, Julie Lam, introduced “VSA Trivia.” “VSA Trivia” included USMVSA history, UVSA Gulf Coast, and Vietnamese history questions.
After dinner, USMVSA played several games. At the end of the night, they played the game “bầu cua cá cọp.” A traditional Vietnamese game played during Tết.
