Fashion, food, and performances to never forget, UVSA Gulf Coast did it again with their annual cultural event this time celebrating a Cultural Night. The event was open to all UVSA Gulf Coast schools and anyone from the church or in the surrounding neighborhood, and all Louisiana schools and University of Southern Alabama had booths of food and an activity, as well as performances. A Very LASO Christmas

Good food, toys, and Buddy the elf could be found at Loyola Asian Student Organization’s annual Christmas Party. Each year that LASO has held their Christmas party members bring not only food for the potluck, but participate in the year’s drive. The previous year, members brought foods for Second Harvest Food Bank, and this year the drive was toys for Toys for Tots. The night kicked off with members clad in holiday sweaters and pajamas gathering to watch the Christmas classic Elf while drinking bubble tea and eating foods like crawfish madeleine, Filipino lumpia, and an assortment of holiday themed desserts.Read More

This Is Not a Fairy Tale: Gulf Coast Raises $16K For CPP!

Once upon a time, six Vietnamese student organizations across Louisiana gathered together in Roussel Hall at Loyola University New Orleans for a night full of performances, skits, talent, and philanthropy. UNO VASA’s Khang Tong and VSOUL’s Adriana Sanchez co-emceed the event, and opened the show with a comedic introduction video portraying the six fairy tale sub-themes. In addition to announcing the talent and smoothly transitioning from act to act, throughout the night both Tong and Sanchez changed wardrobes to fit the theme.Read More
