UVSA Gulf Coast is comprised of ten affiliate schools and organizations: six from Louisiana, three from Mississippi, and one from Alabama.

University of South Alabama Vietnamese Student Association (USA VSA)
The University of South Alabama Vietnamese Student Association (VSA) is a social and cultural organization. Similar to other chapters worldwide, its purpose is to maintain and promote the Vietnamese culture among today’s youth.
Louisiana Affiliates
Loyola Asian Student Organization (LASO)
The Loyola Asian Student Organization is dedicated to promoting the awareness of Asian culture on Loyola’s campus, as well as within the New Orleans community. Our goal is executed through the various services that we provide to other campus organizations, the New Orleans community and to ourselves. LASO strives to unite people of all ethnic backgrounds and to bridge all cultural gaps that may inhibit diversity.
Tulane University Vietnamese Association (TUVA)
The Tulane University Vietnamese Association (TUVA) is a student organization committed to exposing and promoting the rich Vietnamese culture to the diverse community of Tulane University. The fundamental mission of the association is to establish a network of individuals who are interested in understanding the Vietnamese heritage, have a sincere appreciation for Vietnamese traditions and beliefs, and are dedicated to the preservation of the Vietnamese way of life. This longstanding purpose of TUVA is intended to expand the horizon of cultural diversity and to enhance the learning experiences for students who select Tulane as their temporary home.
University of New Orleans Vietnamese American Student Association (UNOVASA)
The UNO Vietnamese-American Student Association goal is to enlighten our members as well as the UNO student body and its surrounding communities about the rich Vietnamese culture and traditions. We also help our members transition into the college lifestyle by providing a friendly and resourceful hand to all members. We take pride in organizing community service opportunities so members can learn values and give back to their communities. UNO-VASA welcomes all prospects of life and ethnic backgrounds to come join us and have fun!
Vietnamese Student Association at Louisiana State University (VSA-LSU)
The Vietnamese Student Association at LSU (VSA-LSU) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit student organization, committed to spreading awareness of the Vietnamese culture and having a voice in our local community. Through various charitable, social and cultural events, they are able to enrich and preserve the Vietnamese identity.
Vietnamese Student Organization at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (VSOUL)
The Vietnamese Student Organization at UL Lafayette (VSOUL) serves to promote awareness and appreciation of the Vietnamese culture within the general student body and beyond. Students will be able to interact and exchange ideas and experiences vital to the growth and success of VSO. Thus, VSO strives to serve the community through philanthropic events and to bridge diversity through cultural and social events.
Our mission is to promote awareness and appreciation of the Vietnamese culture among the students, faculty and community at UL Lafayette. They are also an organization that believes in community and friendship amongst our members.

Mississippi Affiliates
Mississippi State University Vietnamese Student Association (MSU VSA)
The Mississippi State University Vietnamese Student Association is a student organization made up of MSU students and alumni. The VSA works throughout the school year to host and plan events in order to fundraise money for a non-profit organization benefiting the people, especially the children, of Vietnam.
Ole Miss Vietnamese American Student Association (Ole VASA)
The University of Mississippi Vietnamese Students Association (UMVSA), strive to encourage and support our members in promoting an understanding of the Vietnamese culture within the university communities and the community at large, to develop and execute programs to support the interests of the university student bodies, to provide opportunities for greater expression of the Vietnamese culture, and to represent Vietnamese students at the University of Mississippi. Furthermore, we aim to cultivate our members in the values of leadership, pride, and service that will allow our members to develop into effective and positive members of society.
University of Southern Mississippi Vietnamese Student Association (USM VSA)
We, the students of the University of Southern Mississippi Vietnamese Student Association (SouthernMissVSA), are a non-profit student organization based on Southern Mississippi’s campus that strives to preserve our Vietnamese culture and heritage. We are committed to challenge students to become fully engaged and engrossed into their desire to become more educated about the importance of our culture and how it plays an integral role in defining who we are through our embracing of our commonalities and differences such as history, language, community, tradition, religion, and/or spirituality. We hope to provide the necessary interaction between those with different backgrounds to build cross cultural bridges,foster acceptance, and awareness among our campus. As a dynamic and open organization, we are dedicated to maintaining an open and welcoming atmosphere within our association. VSA is a home away from home, where meaningful relationships are created when members work together to enrich each other lives.
