Mary Vu

INternal Vice President

Mary Vu is a current student at Xavier University of Louisiana. She is majoring in Computer Science with a minors in Public Health. As someone who says she’ll always be loyal to New Orleans, it’s the fact that she truly does love the city she was born and raised in. She also never skips a good food/ happy hour deal in the city and won’t hesitate to share the information!  She has been involved with XULAVA from the start of her undergrad experience, from her freshmen year she has been very active and involved in her local VSA and regional VSAs. During her sophomore year, she was the Vice President of XULAVA and was apart of UVSA GC’s Logistics Committee for Summit 2020. She feels that VSA is such a strong community and the feeling of belonging and giving back is very prominent here. She wants to continue that experience and be able to help other feel inspired as she feels.

Outside of her VSA involvement, she enjoys relaxing alongside with her friends and family, working out, playing volleyball, crying to sleep, building unwanted Discord bots to annoy her friends, going to see live music and local food festivals, and learning about random facts that can be used in future conversations. She can also play piano but sadly enough, her skills have only allowed her to learn anime theme songs instead of your typical classical classics. Other than that, she believes in always helping people and those so when you need it, don’t hesitate to bother her with any task or advice!
