General Questions

What are your ideas to keep your Executive Board accountable on a consistent basis?

To keep eboard accountable transparency is very important. I would make sure my eboard is accountable by checking in on them and asking if they need help with any of their action items. I would also make sure to encourage them anyway i can and focus on the end goal.

Describe one strength and one weakness for the position you applied for.

One strength is being able to immerse myself more into GC affairs and help grow the GC community. 

One “weakness” is that Secretary could be a background position but I see that as an opportunity for me to be a more flexible position.

Do you have any experience in keeping with a timeline?

Yes

Are you familiar with Google Drive, when2meet, and slack?

Yes, I am familiar with google drive and when2meet. I am somewhat familiar with slack but I can learn how to use the software efficiently.

Since our staff demographics consist of mostly college students, what are your techniques to ensure the prevention of burning out yourself, your E-Board, and the young leaders that you work alongside with?

My technique is to looking on the positive side and having a good balance of work and fun. Work on time management and make sure to do the tasks i need to do. When it comes to eboard and future leaders, I would probably advise the same as well as encourage them to keep moving forward. Everyone always experience burnout. That is why it’s important to give support during burnout.

Some of the responsibilities of the Secretary position includes sending emails, forms, and gathering information from various sources. How would you handle getting information from people who are not responsive to your requests?

I would send a follow up message to see if they’ll respond a second time. If not, I’ll find another way to contact them. If they still don’t respond, i’ll try to contact another party that is connected to who i am trying to reach.

Secretary is a background position. How comfortable are you with not being acknowledged with your work?

I’m comfortable with it, as long as I can still contribute to the overall goal.
