Describe the cultural program and how it meets the mission and goals of the organization. Details MUST include: Date of event, number of participants, program purpose (i.e. goals and objectives), member involvement, use of resources, and marketing techniques.

Vietschool has evolved over the year, we started off the fall semester with a classroom setting with a live stream for those who couldn't attend the event in person to a full on podcast. Vietschool was a project we envisioned to teach members and others interested about the vietnamese culture. The event was a free event where anyone could attend. In this event we would have special guests talk about their experiences through a recorded video. The goal of the event was to really focus on the present day culture of Vietnam. We didn't want this class to feel like a long history lecture, but rather an experience of vietnamese culture.

We posted flyers for the event as well as promoted the event on social media.

The date(s) for Vietschool:
September 30th (*) (Monday)
October 31st
November 28th

How did this cultural program serve the campus and/or community?

We taught the community about vietnamese culture and some guest speakers would give their experiences in Vietnam throughout the years.

Did the organization overcome any challenges that arose while planning and implementing the cultural program/event? How?

A challenge we had to overcome was planning the event. Not everyone on board was working on the event itself as we felt that only officers or helpers fluent on this subject would be useful. Everyone else not working on the event would work on promoting the event.
