Why does this performance deserve to be recognized for this award?
This dance was curated to celebrate our Vietnamese pride and culture on Tulane Campus. We spent weeks practicing the intricate details of this dance; mastering formations and the art of synchronization; and translating the music through our graceful movements. Based on attendees' reactions and engagement, it was true highlight of TUVA's Mid-Autumn Festival. Additionally, the dance was a true reflection of Jamie's ability to beautifully story-tell through choreography and also a homage to the beginnings of her VSA journey as she graduates this year! *This dance was from when she performed in high school for her VSA club*
