MOST OUTSTANDING WEB PRESENCE NOMINEE

How did your organization excel in web presence and what strategies did you utilize in doing so?
We utilized our social media platforms (Discord, Facebook, Instagram, Tiktok) to reach our audience.
For fundraisers, we promoted our events a week in advance. Additionally, a reminder graphic is uploaded the day prior to the event. The most efficient way to reach our target market is through Instagram, so we prepared graphics to promote our event. Our advertising through social media allowed us to sell approximately 4,000 eggrolls and sell out at our bake sale! We make sure to posts a picture of our members after each event!
With Instagram, our executive board members will post on Instagram Stories to highlight our days and hype up our events. In addition to our takeovers, we occasionally post personal motivational and inspiring stories for our members. Our interns took over instagram as well and shared their days with us via Stories. We posts behind the scenes and our events for those who missed out. As always, we highlight each member and give them a birthday shoutout on their special day!
Our members love Discord and keep it active daily! Discord has allowed USMVSA members to interact with those from other schools and build excitement when attending out of region events. Our members, including non-members from other VSA(s), will play virtual games and board games until 4 a.m. Discord has created a safe space for our USMVSA members to engage further in the Gulf Coast Region. Not only that, but it became a place where people were able to be themselves and create new friendships on this platform. Lastly, we held a virtual movie night and hosted it via Discord!
It is still in the works, but we are currently working on an Eggroll Bowl recap video that will excite future participants. Once completed, it will be posted on our Youtube channel.
